The nomination period between the January 22 to February 29 pandemic offers an opportunity for the recognition of innovative restaurants, proprietors, and food-themed events that shape Arkansas culture.

The director of the Division for Arkansas Heritage, Marty Ryall focused on food’s pivotal role in forming state heritage. Ryall says, “Everyone has a food story,” emphasizing the significance of this topic in shaping Arkansas’s identity.
These tales are firmly ingrained in the culinary tradition of Arkansas, from homemade family meals to unique dining experiences. Ryall calls on citizens to be proactive in the preservation and ownership of these stories by nominating candidates for the Arkansas Food Hall Fame.
