Home Caught Fire on Carnoustie Way, Raleigh
In the late hours of Tuesday, a devastating incident took place when home was totally destroyed in intense blaze after residence on Carnoustie Way caught fire. The danger situation triggered a joint action from various fire departments that were put into play in order to stop the flames which burned during morning hours of midnight.
A swift response was taken with a fire department from Northern Wake, Raleigh, Durham Highway and neighboring agencies being sent to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters were greeted by a terrifying scene of the house raging in flames. The following hours witnessed unremitting efforts of the dedicated firefighters toward putting down flame as they put on a brave front over formidable conditions.
In the middle of all this, rays of hope shone asthree adults and two children managed to escape from there narrowly escaping death. But one Raleigh firefighter, on duty, was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure reminding us of their dangerous work and protecting our community.
This raised the need for a coordinated response from several fire departments and surrounding agencies. This collaborative effort reflects the determination and cooperation from firefighters that work to suppress the devastation of this outrage.
The challenging conditions of driving an icy road include – the impossibility to travel for firetrucks. Frozen temperatures turn water in an obstacle that hinders the crews navigation and access to heart of incident increasing problems on front line.
