I-90 in Cleveland running near normal speeds with some slush on the roads.
**8 a.m. TRAFFIC ALERT**
I-90 westbound at Fulton Rd. is closed due to a crash. Please use an alternate route and check OHGO for updates.
However, as a winter storm covers Northeast-Ohio this region is on high alert with multiple weather advisories and severe threat warnings in many counties. A Winter Storm Warning for northern counties and a Winter Weather Advisory the rest of post implies there is high probability for heavy snow, which comes along with other negative impacts.

Level 2 Snow Emergency Activated by Lorain County Sheriff
To the difficult situations, Lorain County Sheriff has started Level 2 snow emergency. The way is considered the most dangerous because of blowing, drifting snow and potential flooding. The locals are urged to be careful, and just those who need important travels should go out. Workers are encouraged to observe workplace policies or contact their managers when in need of assistance.
Campus Closures and Class Cancellations
Winter conditions have led to cancellations for educational institutions such as BW Advisory. All classes set for Friday, January 19th of the same year are free and canceled because all campus offices remain closed. Essential services workers are to contact their supervisors for further clarification and safety reminders in such bad weather.

In District 12, plowing operations are in progress
Cleveland Garage’s video update demonstrates what was done in advance to cope with the snowy situation. There are over 60 trucks on the streets in district12, and plow operators work hard to ensure safe passage. Drivers are also urged to provide ample space and be aware of the situation on roads through sources such as OHGO.
