POTAIN Sets the Bar High with the Next-Gen Self-Erecting Evy Crane – Here’s Why It’s a Game-Changer

Unveiling POTAIN's Game-Changer: The Self-Erecting Evy Crane Revolutionizing Construction!

POTAIN’s Self-Erecting Evy Cranes – Innovation at Its Peak!

Potain, the renowned French crane manufacturer, has introduced the pioneering Evy 30-23 4 t, the inaugural model in their revolutionary Evy series of self-erecting tower cranes. This cutting-edge crane is specifically tailored for residential and home construction projects of up to three stories, adhering to the updated European Safety Standard EN 14439, which sets forth standardized safety protocols for climbing tower cranes.

Distinguishing itself from the crowd, the Evy 30-23 4 t is not just another electric crane but represents the first product from Potain‘s innovative Voice of the Customer product development process. This groundbreaking approach ensures that the crane is finely tuned to meet the specific demands of customers, focusing on streamlining job site setup and maximizing height under the hook.

Addressing customer needs, the Evy line introduces a simplified “self-erecting” setup process, minimizing the requirement for extensive manual operations compared to its counterparts. With an impressive 4-ton maximum lifting capacity, denoted by the “4 t” in “Evy 30-23 4 t,” and a 30-meter jib with a 1-ton capacity at its tip, the crane allows for precise handling of heavy loads within a practical radius. The jib can be conveniently shortened to 24 meters as needed, enhancing flexibility on the construction site.

Transporting the Evy is a breeze due to its compact design, compatible with existing trailers. When folded, it can be hauled independently at 15 mph or as a semi-trailer at speeds up to 50 mph.

One of the standout features of the Evy line is the inclusion of Potain CONNECT telematics as standard equipment. This technology enables users to monitor and analyze crane utilization, providing both remote control and diagnostics through the Access and Assist applications. This not only promotes greater efficiency but also facilitates informed decision-making.

Rémi Deporte, Potain’s Product Manager for self-erecting cranes, expresses the company’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that empower their customers. He said, “The Evy 30-23 4 t represents a significant milestone in our commitment to efficiency and ease of use in the construction industry.”

In an industry where electric construction equipment is becoming increasingly prevalent, the Evy series, particularly the self-erecting Evy 30-23 4 t, serves as a testament to the crucial role that electric cranes play on modern job sites. It is poised to spark further consideration among fleet managers and buyers contemplating the transition to electric construction equipment.
